Miami-Dade police hope surveillance video helps solve shooting at Opa-locka restaurant

Three men — at least two of whom were carrying guns — stormed into an Opa-locka restaurant earlier this year and killed one person and injured another.

On Wednesday, Miami-Dade police released surveillance video in hopes of identifying the men responsible.

“We need the community's help,” said Alvaro Zabaleta, a spokesman for Miami-Dade police.

Killed was Travares Fullington, 33. Mathew Williams, 28, was critically wounded.

The shooting happened Jan. 5 at 2100 Lincoln Ave., police said.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., Opa-locka officers responded to a report of an assault and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One died on the scene and another was taken to Ryder Trauma Center, where he underwent surgery.

The shooters left in a gray new model Dodge Charger, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
