Former Miami Gardens police chief accused of taking the bait for a "two-girl special" in a prostitution sting in Dania Beach was sentenced Tuesday to six months' probation and must pay a $5,000 fine.
Stephen Edward Johnson, 54, of Hollywood, led Miami Gardens' police department until Feb. 27. That's when the Broward Sheriff's Office says Johnson answered an ad on the website backpage.com and negotiated with an undercover detective for a $100, 30-minute sex session with two women.
