Miami Gardens detectives and federal agents have spent almost five months trying to find an “armed and dangerous” fugitive who is accused of murdering a 41-year-old man early last year, police say. Authorities are now asking for the community’s help and offering a $5,000 reward.

On Thursday night, Miami Gardens police said they are still looking for Yalanski Delon Dawkins, 45, who is facing a charge of first-degree murder.

On Jan. 5, 2025, Antonio Fannin, 41, was shot and killed by Dawkins while sitting inside a car parked in the driveway of a home in the 16100 block of Northwest 26th Avenue, police say. Officers have yet to reveal if the two men knew each other or give a motive.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Dawkins on Sept. 26, 2025, and have been looking for him ever since with the aid of the U.S. Marshals.

“MGPD homicide detectives and agents from the U.S. Marshals Task Force have actively attempted to locate Dawkins in connection to this homicide but has been unsuccessful,” police said.

Dawkins is believed to frequent Miami, Orlando and Atlanta. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Miami Gardens Police Homicide Detective H. Baez De Jesus at 305-474-1615. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call the U.S. Marshals tip line at 1-800-869-4589 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.

Tipsters who offer information that leads to an arrest will be eligible for a $5,000 reward.
