Man caught touching himself in front of Miami Gardens daycare, police say
A disturbing 911 call Tuesday morning had Miami Gardens police officers rushing to a daycare to put a stop to an alleged heinous act — a man masturbating while watching children. They arrived to find the Miami man with his hand still in his pants, authorities said.
Antoine John Leon Parks, 35, is facing charges of indecent exposure and committing a lewd act in the presence of a child, according to his arrest report.
Around 10:20 a.m., the call came in that Parks was “actively masturbating” outside a daycare at 17700 NW 27th Ave. in Miami Gardens, police said.
One responding officer said he saw Parks standing on the sidewalk, looking toward the fenced playground area of the day care and actively moving his hand back and forth inside his underwear. When the officer began talking with him, his hand was still in his underwear, the report read.
Parks was promptly taken into custody as officers spoke with educators at the daycare, one of whom told them a parent leaving the school alerted staff to Parks’ behavior.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Parks remained in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Since 2010, Parks has been involved in about a half-dozen criminal cases. He has been convicted or fined for charges involving grand theft and drugs, court records show.
