A Miami Gardens crash on Northwest 22nd Avenue left one person dead after a Dodge Ram overturned and hit parked cars, police and fire rescue reported.

A major crash in Miami Gardens left a person dead Thursday afternoon, police say.

Just before 4 p.m., a Dodge Ram pick-up truck was driving up Northwest 22nd Avenue when, for unknown reasons, it collided with an unoccupied parked car in the 2100 block of Northwest 165 Street, Miami Gardens police said.

The pick-up truck overturned and then hit another unoccupied park car, trapping the truck’s owner inside.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue pronounced the driver, who was not identified, dead at the scene.
