Miami Gardens police say woman confessed to killing her children’s father

A woman confessed to stabbing to death the father of their children in Miami Gardens after they argued Sunday afternoon, police said.
Around 4:12 p.m., Miami Gardens officers hurried to the 3800 block Northwest 177th Street after receiving an alert about a stabbing, police said in a statement. After officers arrived, they said, the woman told them she stabbed the man multiple times.
“The couple were involved in an argument, at which time escalated into a physical altercation,” police said.
Miami-Dade paramedics airlifted the man to a hospital where he died.
Police did not say what prompted the argument.
It was not immediately known whether the woman would be charged. Her name had not been released as of Monday morning.
