Man airlifted to hospital after self-inflicted gunshot in Miami Gardens, police say

A man with traumatic injuries was airlifted to the hospital Wednesday morning after he shot himself in Miami Gardens, according to authorities.
Around 10:23 a.m., Miami Gardens officers and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue paramedics rushed to the 3700 block of Northwest 199th Street following reports of a shooting, police said. At the scene, police say they found a man who shot himself. He was then airlifted to a hospital with traumatic injuries, the fire department said.
It wasn’t immediately known whether the shooting was an accident or intentional.
