Man found shot dead near Miami Gardens community pool

A man was found dead in the middle of the street near a Miami Gardens community pool Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

Officers responding to a shooting call about 2 p.m. in the 18700 block of Northwest 28th Place found a man who had been shot, police spokesman Michael Wright said.

The shooting happened near the Brentwood Pool.

Wright said investigators are trying to piece together what happened.

“We urge people to come forward and provide us information regarding this homicide,” he said.
