A fiery crash involving an overturned tractor trailer has shut down a stretch of the Palmetto Expressway early Thursday.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes of the expressway near Northwest 37th Avenue in Miami Gardens, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. It involves hazardous materials, according to the Florida Department of Transportation’s Live Camera database.
Helicopter video taken by WSVN shows firefighters working to douse the fire caused by the crash.
All westbound lanes in the area are close for the investigation, according to troopers. The closure has caused heavy delays, according to video taken by Total Traffic Miami.
