Another young man identified as sixth Miami Gardens homicide victim in 23 days
Another Miami Gardens shooting ended the life of a 26-year-old Miramar man, police say.
Miami Gardens police say they found Maceo Wright's body in the parking lot in the 20500 block of Northwest 15th Avenue when answering a call around 8 p.m. Monday.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue took another shooting victim a little more than 500 yards away, in the 1300 block of Northwest 203rd Street, to Jackson North with non-life threatening injuries.
Wright's death puts the fatally shot count at six since June 16. Police have arrested suspects in three of the homicides, one of which police say rose from a marital argument.
Anyone with information on Wright's shooting should call Miami Gardens homicide detectives at 305-474-1583; Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477); text 274637 with "CSMD" and the tip; or the Miami Crime Stoppers website.
