Fire forces residents from Opa-locka apartment building
Dozens of residents were forced to leave their Opa-locka apartment early Tuesday morning.
The fire started in a first-floor unit at 1355 Ali Baba Ave. and spread to a car in the parking lot, according to fire officials.
A woman told WPLG-Channel 10 that the fire began in her apartment from a candle. Her barking dog woke her up in time to escape and warn others.
