Five or six shots rang out before the car sped away, leaving a victim in broad daylight
A man was shot in the chest Sunday afternoon in Miami Gardens.
WPLG Local 10 reported that a man was found seriously wounded near the intersection of Northwest 27th Avenue and Northwest 175th Street. A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesman told WPLG that the man was airlifted to Aventura Hospital.
Employees at nearby businesses told the Miami Herald the shooting happened around 4:30 p.m.
“I heard about five or six shots,” said Eric Warner, an employee at the AutoZone on the northwest corner of the intersection.
After hearing the shots, Warner said he saw a burgundy Altima in the middle of the intersection before it sped away. People were rushing to help the man, who was across the street.
