Teens hurt after falling off personal watercraft in Miami Gardens canal
Two teens were injured Tuesday afternoon when they fell off a personal watercraft in the Snake Creek Canal in Miami Gardens, according to police.
The accident happened at around 5 p.m. just east of U.S. 441 near Ives Dairy Road.
According to police, one boy, believed to be between 14 and 18, made it to the canal bank to call for help. The other boy, also believed to be between 14 and 18, was pulled from the water.

The accident drew a large police and fire rescue presence on the canal bank, which is behind a Publix. One boy could be seen being pulled from the water.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Spokesman Felipe Lay said that CPR was initiated on one of the teens.
Both teens were taken to nearby hospitals. Their conditions were not immediately known.
