A 2-year-old boy fell from the window of an apartment in Opa-locka on Friday evening, according to WSVN-7.
The station reported that “according to investigators, the windows of the apartment were open because the unit’s air conditioning was broken’’ and that “the child’s mother was cleaning the apartment when the victim tumbled through the screen and down to the ground.’’
Opa-locka police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue reportedly responded to the scene around Northwest 135th Street and 24th Avenue.
The station later said the boy was OK and would be released Saturday from Jackson Memorial Hospital.
