Robert “Raven” Kraft laced up his running shoes and pounded the South Beach sand for the 15,000th time Monday.

Raven, 65, has not missed a single day since Jan. 1, 1975. He runs eight miles, starting each run at the Fifth Street lifeguard stand. Several dozen loyal runners joined him Monday afternoon.

Even though back pain and age has slowed through the years, he still sets out each day and find the energy he needs to complete what is known as “Raven’s Run.”

“I get better as I go ,” he said before his Monday run.
