Police give all clear on suspicious package on Lincoln Road

Miami Beach police closed traffic at Lincoln Road and Washington Avenue for about an hour Wednesday evening to investigate a suspicious package.

After the bomb squad investigated, the package was rendered safe and cops gave the all-clear around 7 p.m.

Washington Avenue between 15th and 17th streets was closed to vehicular traffic, as well as Lincoln Road from Washington Avenue to Collins Avenue. Pedestrian traffic on Lincoln Road was closed east of Pennsylvania Avenue.

By 7:10 p.m., all traffic had reopened.
