Three construction workers are in stable condition after a water main ruptured Tuesday afternoon on a private construction site near 17th Street and James Avenue in Miami Beach.
Officials from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration were at the scene, a hotel under construction where water pressure caused a line to burst and strike three workers. Two were taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and the other to Mount Sinai Medical Center.
All three are in stable condition, according to Miami Beach spokeswoman Nannette Rodriguez.
The rupture did not affect water service to the surrounding area.
