3,000 customers lose power in Miami Beach
About 3,000 Miami Beach customers, including the Fontainebleau and Eden Roc hotels, were without power for about an hour and a half on Sunday morning after equipment at an FPL substation malfunctioned, a spokeswoman said.
Sarah Gatewood said the outage happened at about 9 a.m., but it was not clear what caused the malfunction.
Crews fixed the problem by 10:30 a.m..
