A 43-foot yacht was engulfed in flames underneath the Venetian Causeway on Friday night, authorities say. Firefighters battled the blaze and rescued people onboard.

Around 7:30 p.m., 911 calls came in about the 43-foot cabin cruiser fire, which triggered Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Miami Beach Fire Rescue to rush to the scene, Miami Beach deputy chief Jorge Linares said.

Two people on board were rescued with no injuries, as firefighters were able to put out the blaze. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.

A video given to OnlyInDade shows the large yacht almost completely engulfed in flames as smoke billows away from the Venetian Causeway it was sitting under.
