Miami likes to party. For decades, nightspots have stretched across South Florida, offering entertainment, dancing, music and drinks.

In Miami Beach, bands took the stage at the Latin Quarter nightclub. Over at the Place Pigalle, salty comedians told jokes as exotic dancers wiggled their stuff.

In the ‘60s and ‘70s,every hotel seemed to have a show in the lobby cocktail lounge.

In Miami, lavish supper clubs with elaborate shows drew crowds.

And in the 1990s, South Beach was lined with hot spots.
