A 40-foot boat caught fire off Miami Beach on Thursday morning, requiring firefighters to race over on fireboats to put out the blaze, authorities say.
Around 10:40 a.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and the Miami Beach Fire Department sailed to the vessel near the 55 block of Collins Avenue, MDFR said.
Two fireboats doused the vessel with water and foam to put out the blaze, with a helicopter assisting. Miami Beach firefighters rescued those aboard unharmed.
What caused the fire is still under investigation.
