Boat collision in Biscayne Bay injures three near Miami Beach, officials say
A boat collision off the coast of Miami Beach in Biscayne Bay sent three people to the hospital Friday afternoon, authorities said.
Around noon, the boat hit a channel marker just south of the Julia Tuttle Causeway, Miami Beach officials said. The city’s fire department and ocean rescue sped to the scene and found three people injured.
The trio was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Authorities did not say what conditions the injured boaters were in.
