Intersection on West Avenue in South Beach to close for month

Starting Monday, the intersection of West Avenue and 10th Street in Miami Beach will be closed as contractors install an underground stormwater pump station.

The work is a continuation of a series of city and state drainage projects that have rerouted drivers and pedestrians for about two years in various sections of South Beach.

For about a month, the contractor will work around the clock, and drivers will be diverted to Alton Road via 8th and 12th streets.
