South Beach residents who have been boiling their water all weekend can stop after the precautionary boil water notice was lifted Sunday afternoon, the city of Miami Beach announced.

The notice affected the chunk of Miami Beach, except the Venetian Islands, south of 23rd Street. That’s Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive, Collins and Washington Avenues, and the Sunset Harbour neighborhood.

After a private contractor hit a water main near Alton Road and Sixth Street Friday night, the drop in water pressure brought the notice. It was lifted after two consecutive days of satisfactory drinking water tests.
