Miami Beach police responded to a single-car crash at 5 a.m. Saturday near 45th Street and Pine Tree Drive. No one was hurt, said Officer Ernesto Rodriguez, Miami Beach police spokesman.

But the crash shut down the road in both directions between 45th and 47th streets.

“FPL is on the scene assisting with the power lines that fell,” Rodriguez said.

Saturday afternoon, the city sent out an alert that the stretch of Pine Tree between 45th and 46th streets would remain closed through the day to allow FPL to complete repairs.
