Donuts in South Beach could cost someone $630. Some people think he got off cheap
A donut-doing driver got his South Beach antics put on Twitter by Miami Beach police — and the Twitterverse came down on both driver and the law.
Miami Beach police posted to Twitter a 21-second video of a driver doing late-night donuts at two different South Beach intersections, the second of which was Lincoln Road and Washington Avenue. Police said the driver got multiple citations, among them careless driving, failure to obey a traffic device and driving with a learner’s permit and no licensed driver after 10 p.m.
The tickets could add up to $632. Miami Beach police used the example to request drivers obey the law when they come to Miami Beach.
Reaction requested the law come a little stronger than $632.
“$632 ??? Is this a joke? Now I know why they keep on doing it!!!” MrKMiami Tweeted.
“Are you saying that for a nominal fee of $632, I can come and do donuts? How can we set this up?” Florida Wawa Patron replied.
