Tourist was shot three times — then arrested, Miami Beach cops say
Police have arrested a man who was shot three times Saturday night near the Clevelander Hotel in Miami Beach.
Despite being wounded, Miami Beach police say 26-year-old Mamadou Bah of Brooklyn, New York, was also the “primary aggressor.”
The incident ended up shutting down the 1000 block of Ocean Drive for hours.
According to an arrest report, Bah was shot in the arm at about 7 p.m. on the east side of 10th Street and Ocean Drive. He was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police say Bah had become “very aggressive” with two men, one of whom was with his 8-month-old child. When Bah lunged at the men, one of them — 26-year-old Schae Thompson of Miami, the baby’s father — took out his gun and shot him in the arm three times.
Bah was arrested and charged with battery.
