Crash closes Alton Road, which is just the beginning of Beach traffic woes this weekend

Alton Road was temporarily closed for a dramatic one-car crash with minor injuries on Saturday afternoon.

Miami Beach Police closed down the road from 21st Street to 24th Street, in front of the Miami Beach Golf Club, while officers cleared the scene, which included a car flipped on its side.

This won’t be the last of traffic woes on the island this weekend. The city warned that the Miami International Auto Show began at the Miami Beach Convention Center on Friday and will continue until Oct. 13

The BET Hip Hop Awards are at the Fillmore on Saturday evening, prompting road closures. Washington Avenue from Dade Boulevard to 17th Street southbound and 17th Street to 18th Street northbound will be closed from 2 p.m. to midnight.
