Someone out for a morning stroll on Miami Beach early Monday made a disturbing discovery: the lifeless body of a woman lying on the sand.
Police released little information by mid-morning, only saying they received a 911 call at 7:35 a.m. and when they got to the beach on 17th Street they found a deceased female between the age of 40 and 60. No other characteristics were immediately available.
A police source familiar with the investigation said early indiciations are that no foul play was involved in the woman’s death. The body remained covered by white sheet just after 10 a.m. as police looked for witnesses and too forensic evidence.
This story will be updated if more information becomes available.
