A woman who tried to jump off the edge of a Miami Beach building is now safe, cops say
Police talked a woman out of jumping off the edge of a Miami Beach building Monday afternoon.
Miami Beach police hostage negotiators and the department’s crisis intervention team arrived on the scene at around 2 p.m. By about 3 p.m., the woman was safe, police said.
Roads along Washington Avenue between Fifth and Sixth streets were closed but are now open.
Update: Woman is now safe thanks to MBPD and @MiamiBeachFire. Traffic also reopened.
