Woman and child injured in hit-and-run in Miami Beach
A woman and child were taken to the hospital Sunday after being hit by a car as they crossed a street in Miami Beach, according to police.
The driver of the car took off, police said, but was located shortly after and taken into custody.
The hit-and-run accident happened at about 4:30 p.m. at 77th Street and Dickens Avenue.
Police said both the unidentified woman and child were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
