Drunk driver that sent cyclist to hospital was 3 times the legal limit, police said
Miami Beach police said the drunk driver they arrested on charges of hitting a cyclist was three times the legal limit.
The early morning accident sent the unnamed cyclist to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he or she is in stable condition.
The crash happened in the area of Dade Boulevard and traffic was blocked off between Alton and Bay roads well into the afternoon.
The identity of the driver is unknown.
Update: Roadway remains closed as investigators map the crime scene.
