Four people were detained on Saturday in a shooting incident in South Beach.
Police found a trail of blood, but initially no victim, according to reports.
The shooting happened near Sixth Street and Collins Avenue, police posted on Twitter at about 6 p.m. Saturday.
Miami Beach police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said police believe one of the people in custody is the shooter.
Police were looking for a potential victim that was identified when investigators found blood stains near the scene.
Rodriguez said the shooting took place just before 5:45 p.m. A Miami-Dade Schools police officer heard the shots and alerted officers via radio.
The stretch of Collins Avenue from Seventh to Fifth Street remained closed for several hours as the investigation continued.
The two-day Air and Sea Show, part of the National Salute to America’s Heroes, drew large crowds to the beach Saturday.
