Tourist drowns in rough seas off Miami Beach
A tourist drowned off Miami Beach Friday night when rough seas had a group of five swimmers “in distress,” according to Miami Beach police.
The man was pulled from the water by a bystander and given CPR by Miami Beach Fire Rescue. He was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he later died.
The others made it back to shore safely.
Two women and two men were able to swim back to shore, near 43rd Street. One of those men was transported to Mount Sinai Medical Center for evaluation.
