Miami Beach police detonate suspicious package in Mid-Beach
Miami Beach police detonated a suspicious package early Tuesday afternoon at the U.S. Post Office at 445 W. 40th St.
The package left in front of the post office turned out to be two bar stools, as shown in this tweet by Beach police.

Vehicle and pedestrian traffic was stopped on 40th Street between Royal Palm and Sheridan avenues as police investigated. The area should reopen by about 1:30 p.m., according to the police.
The Miami-Dade County bomb squad arrived about 11:40 a.m.. By about 12:30 p.m., a bomb disposal robot was deployed, and the package was detonated.
