Critical Mass, the monthly bike ride that makes its way through Miami-Dade County, will pass through parts of Miami and Coral Gables on Friday.

Riders will gather at Government Center at 6:30 p.m. and the ride begins at 7:15 p.m., traveling west through Little Havana along Flagler Street before heading southwest on Beacom Boulevard to Calle Ocho.

The riders will go west along Southwest Eighth Street and south on Ponce de Leon Boulevard into Coral Gables before heading east on Alhambra Plaza, south onto Southwest 37th Avenue then east again onto Coral Way. The trip wraps up when riders travel north on Southwest 22nd Avenue, back up to Calle Ocho, north on Southwest 12th Avenue, then east on Southwest First Street back to downtown Miami to finish the 11-mile ride.

Drivers should plan for the crowd and prepare for traffic delays. The Miami Bike Scene also advises riders to take caution when traveling on Flagler Street because of construction.
