Miami police officer hospitalized following crash, remains stable
A Miami police officer was hospitalized early Sunday morning following an on-duty car crash.
Miami Police say the officer was responding to a call around 3:20 a.m. in Little Havana when he was T-boned by another vehicle.
A police spokesperson said he was alert and conscious at the time of the accident and was transported to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital with possibly multiple fractures.
While he still needs to undergo several more medical evaluations, the officer is currently in stable condition.
The status of the driver is unknown, and police will continue to investigate the accident.
