Man caught on video stealing purse from car at Flagami daycare

Miami police on Monday released surveillance video of a man stealing a woman's purse out of her car while she dropped her child off at a daycare last week.

The purse theft happened Friday at about 7:45 a.m. at the Ebenezer Day Care, at 4111 SW Fourth St.

The video shows a woman closing the driver's side door, going to the back seat and getting her daughter out the car and then walking her inside.

Meanwhile, a silver sedan — police believe it may be a Dodge Dart — pulls up next to the car and man with dreadlocks gets out.

He can be seen walking to the passenger side, opening the door and removing her purse before quickly getting back in his car and driving off.

Police say he headed west on Fourth Street.
