An early Super Bowl party supply run? $5,000 of booze stolen from a Miami liquor store

While this is a familiar sight to Jensen’s Liquors customers, early Tuesday morning robbers took the five-finger discount at a Southwest 27th Avenue store.

A couple of determined criminals didn’t settle for bootleg liquor, but went for burglary and liquor when they stole $5,000 of booze from a Jensen’s Liquors early Sunday morning, Miami police said.

Around 3 a.m., police said, two men smashed in the front door of the Jensen’s at 1646 SW 27th Ave. After the smash, came the grab — $5,000 of liquor — and the departure in a black pickup truck.

Jensen’s began in 1978 and now has six locations around Miami-Dade.

Anyone with information can call Miami police at 305-579-6111 or Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 (TIPS).
