An 18-year-old girl was in surgery Sunday afternoon after her mother stabbed her in the stomach and shoulder during a fight, Miami Police spokeswoman Kenia Fallat said.
The argument happened at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday inside a home at 20 NW 60th Ave.
Fallat said the mother, Odalys Rodriguez, 47, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.
The teenager, who wasn’t identified, was taken to Ryder Trauma Center and was expected to recover from her stab wound.
