Shooting in Miami leaves 19-year-old dead near Southwest 19th Street and 19th Avenue
Miami police found a man with a gunshot wound dead inside a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that had smashed into two parked cars in the Shenandoah neighborhood.
That man's identity was announced Monday as 19-year-old Emilio Perez.
Police said a call of a man shot brought them to an area near the intersection of Southwest 19th Street and 19th Avenue at 3:40 a.m. Sunday. By Sunday afternoon, police had learned several shots were fired from a dark-colored vehicle and this wasn't a road rage incident.
Another man was found outside the truck bleeding from the mouth. Investigators determined that the injured man was the passenger in the Silverado and "suffered a facial injury due to the accident."
