The facade of the Pego Lamps store in Miami collapsed Friday night.
The overhang on the front of the store at 5407 SW 8th St. fell around 8 p.m., although no one was hurt in the incident. A mess of debris blocked the parts of the windows facing the street, dimming the shine of the lamps inside the lighting store.
Investigators and owners do not know what caused the collapse.
“They’re just as baffled as we are,” said Miami Fire Rescue Captain Ignatius Carroll. “We took a look at the roof, but we didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary or any additional structural damage.”
