An argument at a trailer park turns deadly
A trailer park on the outskirts of Coral Gables in a part of Miami-Dade the city wants to annex was the scene of a deadly shooting early Tuesday morning.
Shortly before 5 a.m., Miami-Dade police say, two men got into an argument at the Gables Trailer Park. It turned physical. One of the men pulled out a gun and fired. Rogelio Castro, 51, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Gables Trailer Park, 825 SW 44th Ave., is part of a 205-acre tract that the city is in the process of annexing. The city plans to tear down the trailer park and replace it with development.
The park has been there decades and is one of the last remaining properties in the area that is affordable to low-income seniors, the primary inhabitants of the park.
