The oppressively hot and steamy weather was no deterrent for the crowds that lined up along Crandon Boulevard on Saturday to celebrate America’s independence at Key Biscayne’s 67th Fourth of July parade.

Dubbed “The Best Lil’ Hometown Parade in South Florida,” Key Biscayne’s popular parade featuring dozens of community groups falls on the nation’s 250th birthday.

A heat advisory was issued on Saturday with temperatures expected to feel as high as 103, according to the National Weather Service.
