A blaze broke out Sunday on a boat with five people on board off Key Biscayne, officials say.

Around 10 a.m., the U.S. Coast Guard, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the fire, which occurred 8 miles from Key Biscayne. The boaters were rescued by a good Samaritan, according to the Coast Guard.

The boat’s operator used a radio on the boat to call in for help. The people on the boat were brought to shore and are “in good health,” the Coast Guard said.

The cause of the fire is unclear as of Sunday evening.
