A man who jumped from a boat near Miami Marine Stadium on Saturday evening was found Sunday morning by Coral Gables police, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard identified the man as 21-year-old Enoch Tong. Tong, the Coast Guard said, wore a white shirt, pink shorts, but no life jacket.

“(Witnesses) say he jumped into the water around 6:30 to 6:40,” Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Pete Sanchez told WPLG-Channel 10. “That’s when he started to struggle. They threw a life preserver to him. At that point, he went under water. Seems like the current is what took him and caused him not to surface.”

In addition to the aforementioned agencies, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission searched for Tong.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more is learned.
