Police: Man charged with indecent exposure after flashing women in Dadeland’s parking lot
A man was arrested and charged Tuesday with three counts of indecent exposure after police say he exposed himself on three separate occasions to women either driving or walking through the Dadeland Mall parking lot.
Jose Antonio Gort, 26, was being questioned by detectives Tuesday night, Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Robin Pinkard said.
According to police, the first incident happened Dec. 29 in the mall's parking lot at 7535 SW 88th St. At about 9:30 a.m. a man in a gold Cadillac SUV drove past a woman in another car. The woman told police that the man lifted himself up from the seat and exposed his genitals. She took a picture of the car as he drove away.
On Jan. 9, a woman reported a similar incident in the mall parking lot. She provided police with a tag number.
Then on Jan. 30, two women were walking through the parking lot at Dadeland around 9 a.m. when a man in a white Dodge Charger drove past them. They told police the man exposed himself to them.
The tag number led police to Lisandra Quintanilla, who owned the gold SUV. She told police that her SUV had been in a car crash and was in the repair shop and she was driving a Charger. She said she and her boyfriend, Gort, were the only ones to drive the car.
The woman from the Dec. 29 incident, and one of the two women from the Jan. 30 incident, identified Gort in a lineup, according to police.
“This is someone we need to have off of the streets,” Pinkard said.
