Town house fire sends 1 person to hospital with burns
A fire at a Kendall town house Monday morning sent one person to the hospital and caused a large Miami-Dade Fire Rescue presence in the area.
Firefighters were called to Southwest 104th Avenue and 80th Street around 9:30 a.m. and treated one patient with a trauma alert.
“One person was transported to the closest trauma facility with burns,” said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesman Alton Drummond.
Flames were coming out of the bedroom on the second floor, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
Twelve fire rescue units were sent to the town house.
