A fatal crash between a Jaguar sedan and a motorcycle has closed a portion of Kendall Drive Thursday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

A fatal crash Thursday morning in Kendall shut down roads on a busy strip of west Miami-Dade County, authorities said.

Around 11:30 a.m., a driver in a Jaguar sedan drove north on Southwest 158 Avenue as a motorcycle headed west on Kendall Drive, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Trying to make left turn onto Kendall Drive, the sedan driver traveled directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.

The two vehicles collided.

The motorcyclist, not yet identified, was ejected and died at the scene, FHP said.

Authorities have since closed Kendall Drive between Southwest 157 and 162 Avenues due to the crash.

This is a developing story.
