An unlicensed Kendall masseur’s massage strayed into sexual battery, two women say
A Kendall massage therapist has spent a week in jail after being charged with two counts of sexual battery.
Jorge Luis Espinosa, 54, also was charged for practicing massage without a license — online records say it expired Aug. 31 after being active since Dec. 17, 2009 — and online records say he had a warrant out for knowingly driving without a license. Espinosa’s bond is set at $16,000.
A 23-year-old woman and a 60-year-old woman told Miami-Dade police that Espinosa sexually assaulted them during full-body massages at Miami Lotus Massage on Dec. 27. According to an arrest report, one of the women said he violated her with his finger or fingers, then asked her if she reached orgasm.
Espinosa, the report said, denied any sexual battery, but admitted he knew he shouldn’t be performing massages with an expired license.
Miami-Dade police said they want to find anyone else who “maybe have been inappropriately touched or assaulted” by Espinosa.
Espinosa’s Miami-Dade criminal court experience before this starts and ends with a charge of massage without a license. That was dismissed eight days before Espinosa got his license. Miami Lotus Massage’s website says he “graduated from Educating Hands School of Massage” and does Swedish massage and deep tissue massage.
The website gives Miami Lotus Massage’s address as 10109 SW 72nd St. But Miami-Dade police say the assaults happened when Miami Lotus was operating at 8900 SW 107th Ave., an office building with a Regions Bank and Barry University’s School of Professional and Career Education. And Miami Lotus’ Jan. 21 company reinstatement filed with the state of Florida puts the business address at 10700 SW 108th Ave., C208.
